Joseph Smith Utters A False Prophesy

D&C 84:4-5

4 Verily this is the word of the Lord, that the city New Jerusalem shall be built by the gathering of the saints, beginning at this place, even the place of the temple, which temple shall be reared in this generation.

5 For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the glory of the Lord, which shall fill the house.

This prophesy given by Joseph Smith on Sept. 22, 1832, never came to pass. What's it called when a prophet utters a prophesy that doesn't come true? False prophet!

He said that the New Jerusalem will be built in Missouri before the end of that generation. It never happened. The temple he spoke of... never built, not even to this day. And that generation has all been dead and gone for a long time.

False prophesy! And it's right there in their own scriptures for anyone to see!

One of many! I can't believe that I stayed in that organization for as long as I did. Like you, I was a Mormon gone Atheist, after much research. Thanks for posting!

I hear you there, Brad, but I guess it's better to learn the truth later than never. I can't imagine being trapped in that oppressive religion all my life... makes me shudder.

I predict that there will be a giant flood in Minnesota and that everyone there will be forced to move to the only safe haven they can find: Boise, ID!

After that, God will come down with a rubber duck shower curtain for a cape and pronounce house cats as the dominant species on planet earth. We must all bow to the Kittahs!
This of course will all happen on 3/3/12.

Mark my words, this is coming directly from the Prophet and leader of the Church of the Assimilated Virgin. (patent pending)

Resistance is Futile sayeth the Borg!

If it happens, I'll join your church!
